Sopot Jazz Festival 2022 is three days of original, improvised music with the participation of intriguing artists from different parts of the world
Selected by an excellent pianist, composer and one of the most creative jazz musicians, Marcin Wasilewski – who we had the pleasure to see during the 2019 edition of that festival.
The first day started in a newly renovated Teatr Wybrzeże Scena Kameralna, better designed, more space and better access. A real success of an update.
That evening, 2 quartets delighted us with their accessible and enjoyable jazz. The Michał Barański Quartet & The Shai Maestro Quartet.
I’m genuinely ashamed to not be a connoisseur of Jazz. I just let the music flow in me. And I really did enjoy that evening.
I also came to the conclusion that Jazz drummers are beasts, they may be the most impressive drummers around. I can tell you that it was confirmed during the second day of the festival. But that will be the subject of another article.
