Mr. Worldwide is returning to Europe, and this time the destination is the Gdańsk and Sopot border, where ERGO ARENA will become the headquarters of one very energetic Thursday night. The European leg of the “I’M BACK” tour has been announced in response to continued demand from fans, with Poland firmly on the itinerary.
And if the name Pitbull immediately brings a catalogue of massive party anthems rushing into your head, that is exactly the point. “Give Me Everything“, “Timber“, “International Love“, “Hotel Room Service” and “Time Of Our Lives” are part of the musical vocabulary of an entire generation. Over the years, Armando Christian Pérez has built a career around songs that refuse to sit quietly in the background.
The evening comes with some serious extra firepower. Lil Jon will join Pitbull as the special guest, bringing another artist whose name is practically synonymous with loud, celebratory hip hop and party culture. Opening the night will be DJ Laz, getting the arena warmed up before Pitbull takes over.
Pitbull has also proved himself as a major live attraction. His concerts have reached millions of fans around the world, while his recent “Party After Dark Tour” became his biggest solo tour to date.
But statistics only tell part of the story. Pitbull understands that an arena show is not simply about reproducing songs from a record. It is about creating a room where thousands of people know the same words, recognise the same beats and suddenly find themselves dancing alongside complete strangers.
And with Lil Jon on the bill, there is every reason to expect the volume to be turned up another few notches.
