Globaltica 2026, A Journey Around The World Without Leaving Gdynia

Location: Park Kolibki, Gdynia
Date: 17-18-19/07/2026

There are festivals built around headliners, and there are festivals built around discovery. For more than two decades, Globaltica has proudly belonged to the latter category.

Returning to the beautiful surroundings of Park Kolibki in Gdynia from 17 to 19 July, Globaltica 2026 once again promises a musical voyage across continents, cultures and traditions. While many summer festivals compete for the same touring acts, Globaltica continues to carve its own path, bringing together artists from every corner of the globe for one of Poland’s most distinctive cultural events.

This year’s programme stretches from the deserts of Mauritania to the streets of Kinshasa, from the forests of Finland to the shores of Trinidad and Tobago.

Among the most anticipated performances is Mali’s Rokia Traoré, one of Africa’s most celebrated contemporary artists. Her work has long transcended borders, blending traditional West African influences with a modern artistic vision that has earned admiration across the world.

Another major highlight comes in the form of Noura Mint Seymali. The Mauritanian singer has built an international reputation through her powerful voice and hypnotic fusion of traditional griot music, desert blues and contemporary influences. Her performances are renowned for their intensity and emotional depth.

Finland’s Värttinä bring a very different flavour to the festival. Often credited with helping introduce Finnish folk music to international audiences, the group combines ancient traditions with modern arrangements, creating music that feels timeless and alive.

The adventurous spirit that defines Globaltica is perhaps best represented by artists such as Kin’Gongolo Kiniata from the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Known for creating instruments from recycled materials and transforming everyday objects into powerful sonic tools, the group embodies creativity, innovation and resilience.

Elsewhere on the bill, audiences will be able to discover the psychedelic folk traditions of Pakistan through Ustad Noor Bakhsh, the Caribbean storytelling and calypso influences of Kobo Town, the rich Afro-Colombian heritage of Nidia Góngora & Nuevos Ríos, the energetic sounds of Malawi’s Madalitso Band and the unique musical vision of Japan’s Turtle Island.

The festival also maintains its connection to regional culture through performances by Hajda Banda, representing Belarusian and Polish traditions, and Poland’s own Kapela Agopsowicza.

As always, Globaltica offers far more than concerts. Visitors can expect workshops, discussions, cultural activities, food from around the world and opportunities to engage with traditions and stories rarely encountered on mainstream festival stages.

In an era when many festivals increasingly resemble one another, Globaltica remains refreshingly different. It is a place for curiosity, for unexpected discoveries and for music that crosses borders without losing its roots.

For one weekend in July, Park Kolibki once again becomes a meeting point for cultures from around the globe, proving that some of the most rewarding musical journeys begin with artists whose names you may not yet know.
