On February 11, the album “B FLAT A” by Trupa Trupa will have its premiere, which will be played in Drizzly Grizzly on the same day!
Trupa Trupa is an art-rock, psychedelic band from Gdańsk, which is gaining global recognition. According to Guardian, “the band’s work is a combination of non-obvious melodies and lyrics that penetrate the dark corners of human existence,” while Pitchfork believes that “Trupa Trupa brings poetry and subtlety to psychedelic rock.”
Trupa Trupa is Grzegorz Kwiatkowski, Tomek Pawluczuk, Wojtek Juchniewicz and Rafał Wojczal. In 2015, the album “Headache” was released by the British label Blue Tapes and X-Ray Records. In 2017, as a result of cooperation between French and English publishers, another album “Jolly New Songs” was released. In 2019, the single “Dream About” was released by the Sub Pop label. In the same year, the band released the album “Of The Sun“. The album was released as part of the international cooperation of Glitterbeat Records (Europe), Lovitt Records (USA), Moorworks (Japan) and Anteny Krzyku (Poland).
Trupa Trupa has just finished work on a new album, which will be released on February 11th, 2022 on Glitterbeat Records (Europe), Lovitt Records (USA) and on Antena Krzyku. Trupa Trupa has performed so far, among others at Desert Daze Festival, Rockaway Beach Festival, SXSW, Primavera Sound and Iceland Airwaves. The team also took part in the legendary NPR Tiny Desk session in Washington.
