The Analogs, Super Potwór & Dr Misio – Klub Ucho

It was nice to see Super Potwór again after their gig at Flader festival, a bunch of boys from around here who plays good explosive rock. A decent band that gave us again a good time as a starter for the big guns.

Then, The Analogs, the veterans of Polish punk, whom we already saw live in Wydział Remontowy few weeks ago, came on stage, and it was, again, a real treat and a hell of a concert. As they are touring Poland celebrating their 25th anniversary, we had a set list consisting of their best song, such as “Era Techno“, “Dzieciaki Atakujące Policję” or even a cover of a “The Guns of Brixton” by The Clash.

The place was really packed, as last time we saw them, and people were just as mad & crazy this time also. Even crazier, in the really good meaning of the word. The stage in Klub Ucho is super adequate for crowd surfing with several people practicing this exhilarating & essential usage of punk or metal concerts. My ribs still remember last time in Wydział Remontowy, so Saturday evening, I took some distance from the crowd.

The Analogs

Last, was Dr Misio, and strangely, their gig didn’t get as many people as for The Analogs. For those who don’t know, Dr. Misio is a band led by Arek Jakubik, one of the most recognizable Polish Actor, known for his great dramatic roles in Wojtek Smarzowski‘s films. Dr. Misio’s raw Rock’n Roll, with great lyrics by Krzysztof Warga and Marcin Świetlicki, is not only directed at Rock fans, but also at people who are looking at something a little deeper, more art oriented. They have released 4 albums so far: “Młodzi“, “Pogo“, “Zmartwychwstaniemy“, “Strach XXI Wieku“.

It was the first time that we attended one of their concert, and hopefully not last time. That guy as a certain presence on stage, very confident, and may be – surely even – because of his work as an actor, a great capacity to tell stories and chat with the public.

Today more than ever, we wished we could understand all the lyrics of all the songs of all the bands we saw that evening. Because obviously, they are not on stage to only entertain us, but to tell us stories about life, society and to also provoke a reaction from us.
