Opał is coming to Gdańsk for a night that should be considerably darker than your average rap show. On 23 October 2026, the Polish rapper will take over B90 as part of his OPA7 Tour, supporting his new album “OPA7”.
For anyone outside Poland, Opał is probably a new name. That is worth fixing.
Coming from the Silesian hip hop scene, Opał has built a reputation around a darker, more introspective side of Polish rap. His music is emotional without being soft, often moving between aggressive delivery, heavy production and more atmospheric passages. There is plenty of darkness in his work, but it is not darkness for decoration. His songs regularly deal with loneliness, relationships, mortality and the messier parts of being inside your own head.
His rise has also been helped by collaborations with some of the most recognisable names in contemporary Polish rap, including Gibbs. Their work together brought Opał to a much wider audience, while his own releases have established a distinct identity within the Polish scene.
That identity is difficult to reduce to one genre label. There is traditional rap at its core, but Opał is clearly interested in atmosphere and experimentation too. His catalogue moves between hard hitting verses and more melancholic, personal material, giving his music a cinematic quality that should translate particularly well to a dark club environment like B90.
The Gdańsk show is part of the OPA7 Tour, accompanying the release of “OPA7”. For Opał, it represents another step from the Polish underground towards larger stages, while for international listeners it offers a good introduction to an artist who has been developing his own corner of the Polish rap landscape for years.
