The lineup for Mystic Festival 2026 has just been revealed, and it’s a dream come true for thrash metal fans. The legendary Megadeth, Anthrax, Overkill, and Forbidden will join forces for an exclusive Main Stage takeover in Gdańsk, Poland. From Megadeth’s final farewell to Forbidden’s long-awaited return, Mystic Festival is set to be one of Europe’s biggest and loudest metal events of 2026.

Thrash metal fans, get ready, Mystic Festival 2026 just dropped a lineup announcement that’s pure fire.
On one unforgettable day, the Main Stage will belong entirely to four of the biggest names in American thrash: Megadeth, Anthrax, Overkill, and Forbidden.
Yeah, you read that right. Four legends. One stage. One day.
Set once again in the atmospheric Gdańsk Shipyard, Mystic Festival will take place from June 3 to 6, 2026, promising four days of heavy riffs, crushing energy, and metal history in the making.
Megadeth: The Final Curtain Falls
The mighty Megadeth return to Mystic Festival as headliners, closing an era with their final album, due out this January. Its cover art shows Vic Rattlehead engulfed in flames, grinning like only he can. Before he turns to ashes, he’ll join Dave Mustaine for one last night of thrash glory.
From Rust in Peace to “Countdown to Extinction“, Megadeth have defined the sound and spirit of the genre for four decades. If this is truly their last stand, it’s going to be an unforgettable one.
Anthrax: Thrash, Attitude, and New York Grit
Since 1981, Anthrax have been spreading the thrash gospel with a New York twist, fast, loud, and always fun. They brought humor and punk energy into metal, broke boundaries with rap collaborations, and delivered classics like “Among the Living” and “Persistence of Time“.
They’re not just part of the Big Four, they helped define it. Expect chaos, sweat, and riffs for days when they hit the stage in Gdańsk.
Overkill: East Coast Legends, Still Loud as Ever
Overkill have never played by the rules. Since taking their name from a Motörhead song, they’ve turned raw punk energy and heavy metal precision into an unstoppable force.
With Bobby “Blitz” Ellsworth’s gravel-edged vocals and D.D. Verni’s punishing bass lines, their sound hits like a wrecking ball, fierce, fast, and full of heart. Their latest album, “Scorched“, proves that after 40 years, Overkill still play thrash like no one else.
Forbidden: The Bay Area’s Hidden Gem Returns
After a long hiatus, Forbidden are back, and they’re coming for what’s theirs. One of the Bay Area’s most technically gifted thrash bands, they made their mark with “Forbidden Evil” and “Twisted into Form“, and have inspired countless acts since.
Now, with new singles like “Divided by Zero” and “Mutually Assured Dysfunction”, Forbidden are ready to remind everyone why they belong among the genre’s greats.
More Metal, More Mayhem
Of course, Mystic Festival 2026 isn’t stopping there. The full lineup features a powerhouse mix of heavy acts, including Black Label Society, Down, Ice Nine Kills, Blood Incantation, The Gathering, Six Feet Under, Scour, Marduk, Evergrey, Septicflesh, Acid King, and dozens more.
With multiple stages, a killer atmosphere, and a setting steeped in industrial history, Mystic Festival continues to be the destination for metal fans across Europe.
