WIJ And Fertile Hump Bring Their Double Headline Tour To Gdańsk This November

There is something deeply satisfying about a tour that throws genre labels out of the window. This autumn, WIJ and Fertile Hump are joining forces for an eleven date run across Poland, and Gdańsk will be the first stop on what promises to be one of the most energetic underground rock packages of the season.

Taking over Drizzly Grizzly on 5 November, the two bands will showcase material that has already earned them loyal followings, while also unveiling plenty of brand new songs from their upcoming releases.

WIJ have spent the last few years refusing to stay in one musical lane. Their surprise EP “Bluzg” expanded the heavy foundations laid on “Dziwidło” and “Przestwór”, adding hardcore and death metal aggression to their trademark mix of hard rock and doom. Their reputation has been forged through relentless touring, headline shows across Poland, appearances at Mystic Festival and Summer Dying Loud, and sharing stages with Blindead 23 and Obscure Sphinx. Expect crushing riffs, raw intensity and a performance that refuses to compromise.

If WIJ bring the weight, Fertile Hump supply the swagger. Since 2015, the trio have blended garage rock, blues, punk and filthy rock and roll into a sound that feels equally at home in sweaty clubs and festival tents. With three acclaimed studio albums already behind them, the band now return with fresh blood behind the drum kit and a brand new record, “Jazzpunk Superheroes”, arriving via Piranha Music. Recorded and mixed entirely in true DIY fashion, it promises another shot of the band’s infectious, rough around the edges energy.
