Waglewski Fisz Emade in Stary Manez, Gdansk, Poland

On September 28, 2025, the renowned family project Waglewski Fisz Emade took the stage at Stary Maneż in Gdańsk, delivering a performance that seamlessly bridged past and present. Fans were treated to a carefully curated setlist, ranging from early favorites like “Trupek” and “Pościg” to fresh tracks off their most recent release, “Duchy Ludzi i Zwierząt“.

The collaboration between legendary guitarist and songwriter Wojciech Waglewski and his sons, Fisz (Bartosz Waglewski) and Emade (Piotr Waglewski), has been a unique force on the Polish music scene since the release of their 2008 debut, “Męska Muzyka“. The record quickly became a landmark, praised for its originality and depth. Its successor, “Matka, Syn, Bóg” (2013), cemented their reputation, achieving gold status.

After a several-year hiatus, the trio returned in 2020 with “Duchy Ludzi i Zwierząt“, a project that refreshed their sound without abandoning the lyrical and musical coherence of their earlier work. The album’s blend of experimentation and familiarity was evident in Gdańsk, where the band balanced nostalgic numbers with bold, atmospheric new material.

Supporting the family core on stage were Mariusz Obijalski (keyboards), Anna Prokopczuk (viola, vocals), and long-time collaborator Piotr Chołody, who enriched the performance with additional layers of sound.

Throughout the night, the band shifted fluidly between genres, rock, hip-hop, electronic, and alternative, offering a testament to their versatility. Each song was met with enthusiastic applause, with the evening culminating in a powerful rendition of “Męska Muzyka“. The closing choice felt symbolic: a nod to the roots of the project and a reaffirmation of its enduring relevance.

The concert underscored the lasting strength of the Waglewski Fisz Emade project. By uniting generations and weaving together diverse styles, the trio once again proved that their music resonates just as strongly today as it did at the beginning of their journey.
