UK alt-rock band unpeople has just released their latest single, “The Garden”, a catchy and experimental track that the band humorously describes as a “musical joke” that stuck with them. This release follows their debut EP earlier this year, continuing their exploration of politically charged and boundary-pushing music.
“The Garden started off as a joke. An actual musical joke. A musical joke that we couldn’t stop singing for weeks on end. Lyrically I wanted to keep it very simple and borderline surface level nonsensical. There is meaning but I’d rather leave that up to the listener to discern and interpret for themselves. Sometimes you want to get away from it all but simultaneously have a feeling of familiarity and a sense of security.”
In support of their recent releases, unpeople will be performing several shows this year and next. In 2025, they will be supporting Vukovi on their European tour, with dates in cities like Paris, Cologne, and London in February and March
