Sabaton Drop “Crossing The Rubicon” Video From “Legends”

Sabaton, the self-styled #1 global power metal war machine and one of Sweden’s most successful exports, have just unleashed the video for “Crossing The Rubicon“, ripped straight from their 11th studio album “Legends“, out now via Better Noise Music. The album landed on 17 October and marks the band’s debut for the label, and they’re clearly wasting no time turning the big guns on.

Right now Sabaton are in the middle of a massive tour, already tearing through Europe’s top arenas with dates locked in all the way into 2026. Details in the original press release.

Crossing The Rubicon” isn’t just another lyric video tossed online between tour buses. The clip was filmed at a historic location in Italy, bassist Pär Sundström is clearly proud of the setting, and the band are pushing it as a truly epic visual companion to the song. It’s Sabaton doing what Sabaton do: big history, big riffs, bigger staging.

The track itself has already had a bit of a double life. A special radio version of “Crossing The Rubicon” dropped back on 12 September, featuring guest firepower from Jonny Hawkins (vocals) and Mark Vollelunga (guitar) of Nothing More. That move has paid off: the song is currently sitting at #17 on Billboard’s Mainstream Rock Airplay chart and #18 on the Mediabase Active Rock chart, which is serious traction for a fresh single off a brand-new label debut.

If you want the pure album hit, the version of “Crossing The Rubicon” on “Legends” is the one Sabaton are pointing you toward, with the new video locked to that cut. The band are clearly using this track as a spearhead for the whole “Legends” campaign, radio push, chart action, high-concept video, and a huge arena run already rolling across the continent and beyond into 2026.

Sabaton’s message is simple: “Legends” is out, “Crossing The Rubicon” has visuals to match its ambition, and the touring doesn’t stop any time soon. Details in the original press release.
