OMD To Electrify Warsaw With A Summer Night Of Synth Pop

Location: Letnia Scena Progresji, Fort Wola 22, Warsaw
Date: 24/08/2026
Organizer: Fource

Buckle up: on 24 August 2026, the legendary British duo Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark (OMD) bring their “Summer of Hits” tour to the open-air terrace of Progresja in Warsaw. A late-summer night of neon synths, big choruses and a career’s worth of pop-mad brilliance.

Formed on the Wirral in the late ’70s by Andy McCluskey & Paul Humphreys, they fused experimental electronic art-pop with stadium-sized hooks. Their albums “Organisation (1980), “Architecture and Morality” (1981) and “Dazzle Ships” (1983) cemented them as synth-pop pioneers.

Warsaw’s Letnia Scena at Progresja is the perfect urban fortress for this: a summer stage, open to the night sky, in one of the city’s most underground-meets-accessible venues.

Expect a set deep in OMD classics: “Enola Gay”, “Maid Of Orleans”, “Souvenir” among them. These songs lifted them to global heights and helped define what electronic pop could be. They’ll likely balance nostalgia with current credibility, OMD remain active, still exploring ideas rather than just cashing in a legacy.
