NEW EP: KALANDRA – MØRKETID

Norwegian-Swedish quartet Kalandra are stepping once again into the cold beauty of winter. Following last year’s moving single “Ghosts”, the band return this season with a brand-new EP, “Mørketid”, a collection of haunting reinterpretations and original songs designed to be both a comfort and a companion through the darkest months of the year.

The EP arrives digitally on 31 October 2025 via By Norse Music, featuring four tracks that balance nostalgia, loss, and resilience:

Tracklist:
01. Mitt Hjerte Alltid Vanker
02. Till The End
03. Ghosts
04. Hymna Til Blåfjell

Two of the songs are reimagined covers, rearranged, translated, and drenched in atmosphere, while the other two are original compositions. Together, they create an EP that mirrors the season itself: short days, quiet moments, gathering with loved ones, and remembering those who are no longer here. Whether you seek solace or strength, “Mørketid” promises to be a soundtrack for surviving and embracing another winter.

But Kalandra are not stopping there. 2026 marks their 15th anniversary, and to celebrate, they are staging their biggest Norwegian headline show to date. On 18 February 2026, they will finally return to Oslo, performing at Rockefeller with special guests Sylvaine and IBEN. This will be their first Oslo performance in almost two years, and it already feels like an unmissable milestone.

For anyone who has followed the band’s journey, Kalandra have become masters of weaving cinematic music with raw emotion. Since forming in 2011, they have toured with Leprous, Wardruna, Heilung, Eivør and Gåte, built their own creative space, and composed unforgettable pieces such as the Kingdom Two Crowns: Norse Lands soundtrack. Their 2020 debut “The Line” laid the foundations, but it was their 2024 release “A Frame of Mind” that solidified their identity as one of the most ambitious and emotionally honest acts of the Nordic scene.

We wrote about “A Frame of Mind” and loved every second of it – you can read our full reflection here: A Personal Reflection on Kalandra – A Frame of Mind.

And with “Mørketid”, Kalandra invite us to step once again into their winter world. It’s a ritual for the season, a way of finding light in the shadows.

The EP drops 31 October. Tickets for Rockefeller on 18 February 2026 are on sale now. Don’t miss it.
