Mystic Festival 2026 is already sharpening its blades. The latest drop? A properly heavy salvo: Saxon, Cavalera with a Chaos A.D.-based set, Primordial and Eyehategod are all confirmed for Gdańsk in June 2026. Denim, leather, and zero compromise, the eagle is landing in the Shipyard and it’s bringing a full generation of metal history with it.

Let’s start with Saxon, because this is the classic heavy metal announcement everyone’s been howling for. The British crusaders have been dealing in hell, fire and damnation for 50 years, helping define the very sound of metal and standing as masters of the New Wave of British Heavy Metal. They’re not just a heritage act, they’re a living power source for legions of bands across every corner of heavy music. Rumour has it their 25th album is on the horizon next year; what is certain is that in June 2026, that iconic eagle will once again descend on the Gdańsk Shipyard.
Then there’s Cavalera rolling in with a Chaos A.D.-based set. The early 90s in Poland were full of hope for a new life, but globally it was anything but cal, and Chaos A.D. channelled that tension with surgical rage. Sepultura, Brazilian fury incarnate, went straight for corrupt politicians, rapacious big business, neocolonialism, racism and media propaganda. Three decades on, the album’s message still feels painfully current, and the musi, fusing a thrash past with a broader, heavier vision, hasn’t lost an ounce of bite. Hearing that material live in Gdańsk in 2026 is going to feel less like nostalgia and more like a fresh indictment.
Primordial and Eyehategod round out this announcement with a darker, more abrasive edge, bolstering a bill that’s clearly not interested in playing it safe. This is Mystic Festival leaning hard into the heavy, the political and the timeless, a proper statement of intent for 2026.
