Mystic Festival 2025: The First Wave of Acts Unveiled – In Flames, Exodus, Nile, and Alcest!

Mystic Festival 2025 is ready to set the Gdańsk Shipyard on fire with some of the most iconic names in metal. From June 4th to 7th, prepare to be immersed in an experience like no other, with the first wave of artists already stacking up the deck.

In Flames
The Gothenburg legends are coming in hot. Since the early 90s, In Flames has been a staple in shaping the melodic death metal scene, with “Lunar Strain and “The Jester Race” being landmarks in the genre’s birth. But if there’s anything this band thrives on, it’s evolution. The switch-up with “Reroute to Remain” proved their ability to weave more modern, alternative textures into their music without losing their razor-sharp edge. Their latest album, “Foregone” (2023), recorded in sunny California, is proof that their flame is burning brighter than ever, blending melody and aggression with terrifying precision.

Exodus
Brace yourselves for a thrash metal masterclass from the legendary Exodus. These pioneers have been at the forefront of the scene, shaping the path for countless others. Often overshadowed by the so-called Big 4, Exodus’ influence runs just as deep, from their unrelenting debut “Bonded by Blood” to their crushing latest offering, “Persona Non Grata“. They’ve never compromised, never faltered, and now they’re finally hitting the stage at Mystic Festival to deliver a much-anticipated lesson in violence. Miss this at your own peril.

Nile
If you thought ancient Egypt was mighty, wait till you hear Nile. With an unrivaled ability to fuse brutal technical death metal with Middle Eastern influences, their latest record “The Underworld Awaits Us All” (2024) takes the genre to new extremes. Expect nothing less than pure chaos as this death metal juggernaut roars through the Gdańsk Shipyard, leaving destruction in its wake.

Alcest
Alcest’s Stéphane “Neige” Paut has carved out a place of his own in the musical cosmos. As one of the pioneers blending black metal, shoegaze, and post-rock, Alcest have continually redefined the boundaries of genre with each release. Their upcoming album, “Les Chants de l’Aurore” (2024), promises to take you on yet another journey into uncharted soundscapes. Live, they are something else entirely – expect to be carried away on waves of hypnotic sound until you forget where you are, who you are.
