Date: 01/10/2026

The ninth edition of the Music Is The Weapon Festival promises a bold and unforgettable journey through some of the most exciting corners of the Polish alternative scene. From punk rebellion to noise chaos, from dreamy shoegaze to psychedelic exploration, this edition promises to be an invitation to explore, to lose yourself in sound, and to discover music that dares to search for meaning beyond borders.

Izzy and The Black Trees

From Poznań comes a storm of raw guitars, punk energy, and uncompromising vocals. Izzy and The Black Trees are masters of fusing post-punk, noise rock, and rock’n’roll into an explosive live experience.

Their debut album “Trust No One” (2020) caught international attention, even landing airplay on BBC 6 Music thanks to Steve Lamacq. The 2022 follow-up “Revolution Comes In Waves” swept the Polish press, earning Album of the Year from Teraz Rock and high praise abroad. This year, their EP “Go On, Test the System” and single “F-16” (named “Song of the Day” by KEXP Seattle) solidified their reputation as one of Poland’s most electrifying exports.

Festival appearances at Eurosonic ESNS, OFF Festival, Jarocin, and Mystic Festival have made their live shows legendary. Now they return with brand-new material from their upcoming third album.

RZWD

Noise meets rhythm in RZWD (Divorce), a Wrocław-Toruń project blending dance grooves with raw, improvised noise. Founded by Szymon Szwarc and Damian Kowalski, and now joined by Cezary Rosiński and Krzysztof Rogalski, the group has been shaking stages across Poland and Europe.

With albums “POMP” (2020), “GOLD (2022), and their latest “GAPS” (2024, Gusstaff Records), RZWD continue their mission: transforming the chaos of a rock concert into the pulse of a DJ set, and vice versa. Expect a wild, sweaty, unrelenting ride.

Pleń

Hailing from Łódź, Pleń bring dreamlike textures of post-rock and shoegaze to the festival stage. Their self-titled debut (2021) introduced listeners to their atmospheric music, while their new album “Rondo Straconego Czasu” expands on that vision – a meditation on cycles, repetition, and the moments of life where escape feels impossible.

Known for supporting acts like Titanic Sea Moon, Ampacity, and Wczasy, Pleń deliver live shows that feel like emotional journeys, moving seamlessly from fragile whispers to overwhelming waves of sound.

Ivo Shandor & The Gozer Worshipers

The newest addition to the scene, Ivo Shandor & The Gozer Worshipers is the brainchild of Bor (Lonker See, Why Bother?). With members of Pleń, Goodly, Jaws, and Jutra, the quintet explores psychedelic oceans, where improvisation meets melody, and chaos is sculpted into beauty.

Their debut, released in March 2025 on the legendary Antena Krzyku label, is a testament to contrasts, peace and anxiety, silence and noise, all brought together in a raw, emotional performance.
