Joining the ranks of previously announced heavy-hitters IDLES and RY X, the Texas-based duo Black Pumas is set to ignite the stage with their brand of psychedelic soul. Originating from Austin, Black Pumas have racked up an impressive seven Grammy Award nominations and have become darlings of both the press and fans alike.
The chemistry between Adrian Quesada and Eric Burton birthed Black Pumas in 2018, a nod to the historic Black Panther movement of the ’60s and ’70s. Their sound taps into the deep roots of soul and R&B, sprinkled with a generous dose of psychedelia and rock. Their debut album in 2019 garnered widespread acclaim, earning them a Best New Artist Grammy nod.
