Mayhem, Marduk, and Immolation: Death Over Europe hits Gdańsk

Location: B90, Gdańsk, PL
Date: 24/02/2026
Organizer: Knock Out Productions & B90

Gdańsk will once again sink into darkness this February when Mayhem, Marduk, and Immolation bring the Death Over Europe tour to B90. Three legendary names, one night, and zero compromises.

Mayhem don’t need much of an introduction. They are the reason black metal exists as we know it. Born in the icy heart of Norway in the 80s, they took the underground and turned it into a movement, part philosophy, part sonic warfare. Their legacy is soaked in controversy, violence, and pure creative defiance. Yet it’s their music that truly endures: albums like “De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas” and “Chimera” remain pillars of the genre, shaping generations of musicians who followed.

Their last album, “Daemon” (2019), was a return to form, sharp, ritualistic, and fiercely self-aware. Now, Mayhem return with a brand new record, and Gdańsk will be among the first to taste it live. It’s not just another tour stop, it’s a continuation of a legend that refuses to die.

If Mayhem are the architects, Marduk are the soldiers. The Swedes built their reputation through sheer consistency and brutality. Since the early 90s, they’ve been hammering out warlike, anti-religious hymns that hit with the force of artillery. Fifteen albums deep, they’ve never bent to trends or softened their edge. “Panzer Division Marduk” remains one of the most ferocious albums ever recorded – and live, the band still sounds like a precision airstrike. Their presence on this tour guarantees chaos of the most disciplined kind.

From there, the descent goes deeper, into the molten core of death metal. Immolation, hailing from Yonkers, New York, are often seen as one of the genre’s most intelligent and sinister forces. Unlike the Florida scene’s slick precision, Immolation chose density, darkness, and dissonance. Their classic “Close to a World Below” is a study in controlled evil, suffocating, swampy, and magnificent. Few bands can conjure the same sense of infernal grandeur. On stage, they’re devastating, not just heavy, but hypnotic.

This show at B90, one of Poland’s most trusted venues for heavy music, feels almost like a homecoming. Polish crowds have long had a special relationship with extreme metal. It’s not about image or nostalgia, it’s about intensity and truth. Whether you’re 20 or 50, whether you’ve come from punk, metal, or hardcore, you go to a Mayhem gig for the same reason: to feel alive in the middle of chaos.
