Lordi Set to Bring Their Monster Metal Mayhem to Gdańsk’s Klub B90

Location: B90, Gdańsk
Date: 26/03/2025

If you’re a fan of hard rock, theatrical spectacle, and extravagant live performances, mark your calendars: Finnish hard rock and heavy metal titans Lordi are gearing up to take Gdańsk by storm with a concert at Klub B90 on March 26, 2025. Known for their monstrous personas and bombastic stage shows, the band is bringing their unique brand of shock rock to Polish audiences as part of their 2025 tour.

Founded in 1992 by the enigmatic and larger-than-life lead vocalist Mr Lordi (Tomi Petteri Putaansuu), the band first stormed into global consciousness with their unforgettable victory at the Eurovision Song Contest 2006, where their anthem “Hard Rock Hallelujah” not only shattered Eurovision traditions but also became a rallying cry for rock fans worldwide. That win was a moment when heavy music broke into the mainstream spotlight, proving that monsters could indeed conquer the stage.

Lordi are famous for their elaborate, horror-inspired costumes, each member donning a unique, monster-themed alter ego. Mr Lordi himself is the menacing overlord, accompanied by a rotating cast of ghoulish bandmates over the years. The current lineup features Hiisi (bass), Mana (drums), Kone (guitar), and Hella (keyboards). Together, they deliver a unique spectacle – combining thundering riffs, catchy choruses, pyrotechnics, and a theatrical flair reminiscent of bands like Alice Cooper and KISS, both of whom Mr Lordi cites as formative influences.

Their upcoming performance at Klub B90, promises to be no different. Fans of the band can expect a career-spanning setlist packed with monster rock classics like “Would You Love a Monsterman?”, “Devil Is a Loser”, and, of course, “Hard Rock Hallelujah”, as well as brand-new material from their forthcoming album “Limited Deadition“, set to release just days earlier on March 21, 2025.

Limited Deadition” marks another ambitious chapter in Lordi’s career. Known for pushing boundaries, the band has maintained a reputation for constantly reinventing themselves while staying true to their love of B-movie horror aesthetics and old-school rock. Over the years, Lordi have delivered everything from concept albums to elaborate multi-album releases, such as 2021’s jaw-dropping “Lordiversity“, which spanned seven distinct albums across various rock and metal styles. Whether diving into melodic hard rock, arena anthems, or darker heavy metal tones, Lordi have a knack for keeping fans intrigued.

For long-time fans and newcomers alike, this is a chance to experience one of the most unique acts in hard rock history. Lordi’s music transcends simple labels – it’s horror, it’s humour, it’s headbanging bliss. And for Gdańsk, this concert promises to be an unforgettable night of heavy riffs and monster madness.
