After witnessing their mesmerizing performance during the Brasswood Festival at Opera Leśna, we were left so captivated that we simply couldn’t miss the chance to see Laboratorium Pieśni once more. Their hypnotic polyphonic vocals, combined with the deep, rhythmic beats of shamanic drums, created an atmosphere so powerful that it lingered long after the final note. Now, the ensemble is set to return to Gdańsk for a highly anticipated concert at Stary Maneż on October 20, 2024, and we’re ready for another unforgettable experience.
The concert will be a celebration of music that spans the World and Cosmos, offering both traditional polyphonic songs from various cultures and the band’s original compositions. Laboratorium Pieśni has been enchanting audiences since 2013 with their unique approach to world music. By collecting traditional songs from across Poland, Europe, and beyond, the group reinterprets them through a collaborative workshop process, resulting in beautifully arranged compositions enriched with the sounds of ethnic instruments.
At this concert, fans will hear selections from their albums “Rosna”, “Rasti” (nominated for the Fryderyk award in 2020), and their latest release, “Hé oyáte”. If their performance at Opera Leśna was any indication, this concert will be an immersive journey through time and culture, blending ancient traditions with fresh, contemporary arrangements.
