A Monumental Comeback
Kittie have spent the past two years re-establishing themselves as a dominant force in modern metal. After more than a decade away from the scene, their triumphant return began with a standout performance at 2022’s inaugural Sick New World Festival in Las Vegas. The buzz surrounding their comeback led to further festival appearances, a new label deal with Sumerian Records, and their first album in thirteen years, “Fire“.
The album has been met with widespread praise, with Kerrang! hailing it as “straight, relentless metal”, while Metal Hammer declared it “one of modern metal’s great comebacks”. Featuring hard-hitting tracks like “Eyes Wide Open“, “We Are Shadows“, and “Vultures“, the record showcases the band’s evolution, blending their signature raw aggression with refined songwriting and anthemic hooks.
For fans who discovered Kittie during their Spit era in 1999, the band may be synonymous with the nu-metal movement. However, their sound has continuously evolved, moving towards heavier, darker, and more intricate compositions, as heard in albums like “In The Black“ (2009) and “I’ve Failed You“ (2011). Despite their extended hiatus following “I’ve Failed You“, “Kittie “remained a beloved name in the metal world, with their 2017 hometown show in London, Ontario and the release of their 2018 documentary, “Kittie: Origins/Evolutions“, keeping their legacy alive.
Now, Morgan Lander (vocals, guitar), Mercedes Lander (drums), Tara McLeod (guitar), and Ivy Vujic (bass) are back with renewed energy. Their live performances at Welcome To Rockville and Sonic Temple in 2024 reaffirmed their place as one of metal’s premier live acts, and this upcoming UK/EU tour is set to be a landmark moment for both the band and their fans.
Tickets & Availability
Tickets for the headline shows will be available from Friday, 21st February at 10 am GMT. Fans can purchase them via the band’s official website and major ticketing platforms. Given the band’s absence from UK and European stages for more than a decade, demand is expected to be high.
