JUCHO Returns with New Album “2”, An Independent Artistic Statement

Location: Stary Maneż, Gdańsk
Date: 12/11/2025

After several years away from the stage, Justyna Chowaniak, the founder, vocalist, and songwriter behind the beloved project Domowe Melodie, makes a highly anticipated return under the name JUCHO. Her new album, simply titled “2“, was released on all streaming platforms on February 20, 2025. Loyal fans had the chance to enjoy the physical edition earlier, with an unofficial premiere on October 15, 2024, and the entire first print sold out in less than a week.

The album features 13 tracks that weave together female sensitivity, lyricism, and a dash of irreverence. Each song moves along the border of poetry, pop, and folk, offering the kind of authenticity and playful humor that listeners have come to expect from Chowaniak since the days of Domowe Melodie. Her trademark white piano still plays a central role, but this time the arrangements are richer, with an expanded instrumental palette. One standout moment comes from the legendary Janusz Stokłosa, the composer of the musical “Metro“, who arranged one of JUCHO’s songs for choir and orchestra.

In keeping with her fiercely independent spirit, Chowaniak took full creative control of “2“. She not only wrote and composed the songs but also produced the album, designed the cover, and scripted the accompanying music videos. She continues to bypass record labels, ensuring that her work remains a fully personal and uncompromised artistic vision.

To accompany the release, JUCHO unveiled a music video for the track “Dear Doctor“. Both funny and reflective, it tells the story of a woman who, just before undergoing a nose correction surgery, decides instead to win over her surgeon’s heart. The clip has already caught attention for its wit and originality, perfectly echoing the album’s tone.

JUCHO is also bringing her new songs directly to audiences. In 2025, she has been performing across Poland, including concerts in Rzeszów, Kraków, and Głogów. The next major event is scheduled for November 12, 2025, at Stary Maneż in Gdańsk, under the title “Juchowa Jesień“.

With “2“, JUCHO reaffirms her place as one of the most distinctive and independent voices on the Polish music scene. Unfiltered, humorous, and deeply authentic, the album is a testament to an artist who continues to chart her own course, and to captivate listeners along the way.
