Hanabie, Storm into Gdańsk with Harajuku-Core Chaos

Location: B90, Gdańsk
Date: 15/11/2025
Organisor: Knock Out Production

In 2023, they sold out Warsaw’s Hydrozagadka. By summer 2024, they had an ocean of new fans after a blistering set at Mystic Festival. This autumn, Tokyo’s unstoppable Hanabie are back, and this time, they’re aiming for the big rooms. On Saturday, November 15, 2025, the quartet will unleash their riot of sweetness and sonic brutality at B90, Gdańsk.

From Harajuku Streets to Global Stages

Formed in 2015 by four high school friends in Tokyo, Hanabie are no ordinary metal band. They call their style “Harajuku-core”, an explosive fusion of metalcore, hardcore punk, nu-metal, sugary J-pop hooks, and hyperactive electronic beats, all wrapped in a vivid, kawaii aesthetic.

We want to show that you can be cute and heavy at the same time”, says vocalist Yukina, whose guttural growls can shake a venue’s foundations. Alongside her are guitarist and clean vocalist Matsuri, bassist Hettsu, and drummer Chika (the newest member, joining in 2023).

Their 2023 major-label debut “Reborn Superstar!” (Epic Records Japan) was a breakthrough, climbing the Billboard Japan charts and launching them onto international stages, including becoming the first all-female Japanese band to play Lollapalooza. Their follow-up EP, “Bucchigiri Tokyo” (2024), cemented them as one of Japan’s most exciting modern exports.

The Live Experience

On stage, Hanabie are a paradox in motion. One moment, a glittering dance beat has the crowd bouncing; the next, a bone-rattling breakdown leaves them gasping. They can switch from playful, pastel-colored visuals to sonic devastation in seconds. It’s chaotic, joyful, and utterly unique, and it’s why their fanbase is growing at warp speed.

The Gdańsk show is part of their three-date Polish run in November (Warsaw on the 14th, Kraków on the 16th). For those who caught them at Hydrozagadka or Mystic Festival, this is the chance to see Hanabie once again.
