Some gigs remind you why live music is more than just entertainment – it’s a tool for change. Friday 20th of June at Stary Maneż was one of those nights. Under the banner “Gramy dla Zwierzaków” (“We’re Playing for the Animals”), the crowd came not only for the tunes, but to support a cause that hits where the heart is: helping homeless animals through the Pomorskie Foundation Bracia Mniejsi.
And let’s be honest – you don’t need much convincing when the soundtrack is The Cure and punk rock with a twist of reggae.
Beneath all the distortion and delay pedals was something gentler – a cause worth howling for. The Pomorskie Foundation Bracia Mniejsi rescue, educate, rehome, and train those who care for Poland’s abandoned animals. And there are too many of them for sure. They even support volunteers and people who feed strays through the harsh winters. So, every little help is more than welcome.
Every ticket bought last night was a small rebellion against indifference. Every cheer, every track, was a tail wag for the voiceless.
