The lineup of rock giants rolling through Poland in 2025 just got a lot louder. Godsmack, the American powerhouse that’s spent decades shaping hard rock and metal, will make a much-anticipated stop on their European tour, performing on March 27 at the PreZero Arena in Gliwice. Accompanied by two monumental guests, P.O.D. and Drowning Pool.
Formed in 1995, Godsmack stormed the music scene with their self-titled debut album in 1998. The band carved a niche with haunting hits like “Voodoo“, which blended gritty lyrics with unmistakable, dark tones. Over the years, they’ve produced eight studio albums, solidifying their place in hard rock history. Their latest, “Lighting Up The Sky” (2023), marks a poignant chapter. According to lead vocalist Sully Erna, it’s intended as their final album, a “celebration of the music [they] made over the last 30 years”. Erna revealed that, while they’re stepping back from creating new music, they’re fully committed to touring and giving fans one last taste of their legacy in action.
In Erna’s words, Godsmack’s decision to focus on live performances is driven by today’s music landscape, where streaming and playlists have changed the game. “No one buys records” he said.
“People create playlists with their favorite songs… It seems to be a reasonable decision”
The Energy Boost: P.O.D. and Drowning Pool
Joining Godsmack on this tour are two bands whose sounds complement but don’t mirror Godsmack’s – promising a diverse and electrifying experience. P.O.D., famed for their unique blend of metal, rock, and rap, will bring a slice of nostalgia with hits like Youth of the Nation. After a six-year hiatus, P.O.D. released “Veritas “in 2024, which has already sparked excitement and proves they haven’t lost their creative spark.
Drowning Pool, known for their unforgettable anthem “Bodies“, will make their Polish debut during this tour. Their music has always been a raw, high-energy dose of nu-metal, perfect for amping up crowds and getting heads banging. Their addition to the lineup marks an exciting first for Polish fans, adding another compelling reason to catch this show.
