For two decades, Globaltica has been a beacon of cultural diversity, a festival where music transcends borders and traditions blend in an electrifying atmosphere. From July 18 to 20, 2025, the beloved event returns to Kolibki Park in Gdynia, marking its 20th anniversary with a lineup that promises to honor its legacy of musical excellence and global connectivity.
A Lineup Steeped in Tradition and Innovation
The festival’s organizers have curated a stellar selection of artists from around the world, ensuring that this milestone edition will be one for the history books. And this is just the beginning – more artists will be announced in the coming weeks, building even more anticipation for what promises to be an unforgettable celebration.

One of the most anticipated acts is Mercedes Peón, a Galician powerhouse whose experimental fusion of traditional Iberian sounds with cutting-edge electronic textures has made her a standout figure in world music. Peón’s 2010 Globaltica performance is still remembered as one of the most daring and unique in the festival’s history. This time, she returns with Deixaas, a collaborative project with Ana Fernández and Mónica de Nut, promising an exhilarating blend of Galician folklore and avant-garde innovation.
Another returning favorite is Warsaw Village Band (Kapela ze Wsi Warszawa), Poland’s premier folk revivalists. Their last appearance at Globaltica in 2021, during the festival’s special post-pandemic Polish edition, was an emotional homecoming. Now, they’re back with Bassałyki, a new collaboration that aims to push their signature sound even further into uncharted territory.
From across the Atlantic, Chilean cumbia giants Chico Trujillo will finally bring their signature party atmosphere to Gdynia. Known for packing stadiums in their homeland, the band was originally scheduled to perform at Globaltica in 2018, but unforeseen travel complications kept them away. Now, celebrating their own 25th anniversary, Chico Trujillo is set to turn the festival into a South American fiesta, ensuring that Globaltica 2025 is as much a celebration of their journey as it is of the festival’s.
And of course, no anniversary edition would be complete without the return of Boban Marković Orkestar, the legendary Balkan brass ensemble whose fiery, dance-inducing performances have become the stuff of Globaltica folklore. Since their unforgettable set in 2019, festival-goers have been eager for their return. Expect nothing less than a thunderous explosion of Serbian trumpets, raw energy, and uncontainable joy.
Beyond the Music: A Full Cultural Experience
While the music remains the heart of Globaltica, the festival has always been about more than just concerts. Attendees can look forward to a vibrant mix of workshops, film screenings, and exhibitions, offering deep dives into diverse cultural traditions.
For those eager to secure their spot at this landmark edition, tickets are already available in a variety of options, from single-day passes to full three-day packages, with discounted rates for children and teenagers. Tickets can be purchased via the festival’s official website, as well as platforms like biletyna.pl and the Going app.
These first headliners are just a taste of what’s in store for Globaltica 2025. In the coming weeks, even more artists will be revealed, ensuring that this year’s festival lineup will be as diverse and electrifying as ever.
For two decades, Globaltica has been a meeting point for artists, audiences, and cultures, proving that music is one of the most powerful forces for connection and understanding. As 2025 marks its 20th anniversary, the festival is poised to deliver an edition that encapsulates everything it has stood for since its inception: a journey through sound, a celebration of diversity, and a testament to the unifying power of music.
