Myslovitz has always been the soundtrack to my life. As a teenager and a young adult, their music was my constant companion, through the highs, the lows, and everything in between. For years, they held a sacred place in my heart, but then, life happened, and we drifted apart.
That changed at the Rockowizna 2025 festival in Gdańsk. Seeing them on stage after such a long hiatus hit me like a tidal wave. After finishing my photo set, I ditched the pit, lost myself in the crowd, and just danced and sang with everyone else. That was my first time hearing Mateusz Parzymięso on vocals, and I was floored, I fell for his musicality instantly. Right then, I promised myself: if Myslovitz plays Gdańsk, I’m there.
The recent show at Stary Maneż was non-negotiable. It was the finale of the “Dla Ciebie wpadłem w głęboką depresję” tour. The setlist was a perfect storm: the massive hits we all know by heart, those deep cuts that never get enough radio play, and a few new tracks they were road-testing. Looking around, the crowd was a beautiful blur of generations, from teenagers pressed against the stage to adults in every stage of life. The whole room was alive, a sea of voices singing and some literally screaming their hearts out. I felt a level of joy and raw emotion I haven’t felt from live music in a long time. Watching them perform, it struck me how Mateusz has become the vital connective tissue of this musical organism. It feels to me like he carries the collective spirit of the band and translates their shared emotions into something deeply moving.
Thank you, Myslovitz, for a night I won’t forget.
