Dead Pony Fire Back With New Video For “Eat My Dust!”

The new video for “Eat My Dust!” is out now, it is loud, confrontational, and gleefully unbothered, this is Dead Pony.

After the volatile rush of “Ignore This“, a debut that bled frustration and ambition in equal measure, the Glasgow quartet could have played it safe. Instead, they’ve doubled down on weight, texture, and attitude. “Eat My Dust!” is one of the heaviest things they’ve ever put their name to, all steel edged riffs, bruising rhythms, and melodies sharp enough to lodge in your skull.

Vocalist Anna Shields has been open about how angry that debut record was, laughing now at just how combustible it sounds in hindsight. That distance matters. This new track isn’t about rage for rage’s sake. It’s about movement. About leaving dead weight behind. As Shields puts it, it’s about “leaving your haters in the past” and refusing to slow down for anyone still shouting from the sidelines.

Musically, the band are unapologetically nodding to the early 2000s. The DNA of Linkin Park, Limp Bizkit, and that whole era where heavy music was allowed to be emotional, messy, and massive, runs straight through the track. The difference is confidence. Dead Pony sound like a band who trust that their instincts are enough.

The video mirrors that energy. Direct, aggressive, and stripped of unnecessary polish, it captures a band who know exactly who they are right now. No gimmicks. No over explanation. Just a clear message and the volume to back it up.

Guitarist Blair Crichton has described the song as a mission statement after a year of change, leaning into heavier, almost metalcore tinged territory. You can hear it. The drums punch harder, the guitars grind lower, but the hooks are still there, pulling you back in every time. Heavy, but human.

Crucially, “Eat My Dust!” isn’t a one off flex. It’s the opening shot of a new EP, a bridge between where Dead Pony have been and where they’re heading next. After a quieter year focused on writing rather than releasing, this feels like a necessary reintroduction.

The “Eat My Dust!” video is out now. Watch it with the volume up, comments muted if you must, and keep an eye on what comes next. If this is the tone setter for 2026, things are about to get beautifully uncomfortable.
