Lord of the Lost, Filter & Combichrist – B90

Once in a while, you experience a concert so electrifying it feels like a punch to the face. You’re knocked out and can’t quite get up again. Last time, it was Airbourne. This time, it was Lord of the Lost, Filter, and Combichrist who made my day. Hours after the end, I was still smiling, my ears buzzing with pleasure. The energy from all three shows was just amazing!

Lord of the Lost delivered an electrifying performance, full of energy and enthusiasm that captivated the audience. Their stage presence was impressive, and they even performed a cover song. While I recognized it was a cover, I couldn’t place it at the moment – only later did I realize it was a Backstreet Boys song, a testament to my limited familiarity with boy bands.

Next up was Filter, led by frontman Richard Patrick, a former guitarist for Nine Inch Nails, a band I hold in high regard. Although Patrick seemed to struggle with his voice at times, the overall performance was outstanding. There was an intangible magic to his show – a palpable, authentic connection to his music that resonated deeply with the audience.

Finally came Combichrist, the kings of Harcode EBM, first time ever I see them live and I wasn’t disappointed. They know how to entertain, a nice electro-industrial music, catchy songs, the whole audience was flooded with positive energy and was urged to feel the good vibrations and dance all together, at once… They really are one hell of a visual act. Two drummers, two guitarists, one charismatic frontman. I’m just wondering what is live and what is not? There was a lot of electro, but I didn’t see any keyboard.
