Alestorm Bring Their Pirate Mayhem Back To Poland

Location: B90, Gdańsk, PL
Date: 14/12/2025
Organizer: Winiary Bookings

Grab your rum and brace yourself. Alestorm, Scotland’s loudest bunch of pirate metal marauders, are sailing back to Poland this December. The crew will dock in Łódź (13/12) and Gdańsk (14/12) before heading further east to Vilnius and Tallinn. Expect chaos, choruses, and plenty of bad jokes about parrots and treasure. Supporting acts on all dates: Lutharo and Roses of Thieves.

Two decades ago, in the quiet Scottish town of Perth, a few friends decided to form a metal band inspired by tales of rum, plunder, and cannon fire. Back then they were called Battleheart, a name that didn’t quite scream “pirate ship”. But soon after signing with Napalm Records, they rebranded as Alestorm and set sail toward international infamy.

Since then, they have become the undisputed rulers of the high seas of metal, armed with keytars, hooks, and a wicked sense of humour. Over the years, Alestorm have played the world’s biggest festivals (Wacken, Bloodstock, Graspop, Sweden Rock), shared stages with Turisas, Sabaton, Dragonforce, and Eluveitie, and built a global cult of fans who love their absurd blend of epic melodies and drinking anthems.

Their latest album, “The Thunderfist Chronicles”, released in June, keeps the storm raging. It is packed with high-energy riffs, sea-shanty singalongs, and two unexpected treasures: a cover of “Goblins Ahoy!” from Nekrogoblikon’s repertoire, and a 17-minute finale titled “Mega-Supreme Treasure of the Eternal Thunderfist”, as gloriously over the top as it sounds.

Joining them on this wild ride are Lutharo, a Canadian melodic metal band blending heavy, power, and thrash with a mix of beauty and aggression. Their 2023 album “Chasing Euphoria” on Atomic Fire Records proved they can shred and soar in equal measure.

Also aboard are Hungary’s Roses of Thieves, a young modern metal band mixing electronic elements and folk influences. Their debut album “Gateway to Utopia” dropped last year and hints at an ambitious, cinematic approach to heavy music.

So yes, December will be loud, sweaty, and gloriously stupid in the best Alestorm way. Get ready to raise your mug and shout along, because as the band once sang, being “Killed to Death by Piracy” never felt this fun.
